Anna Marie Rost, 86, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, March 8, 2007, at her residence. She was born on Sept. 7, 1920, in Glasgow, MO, the daughter of Harry and Cecelia Francesca Borges Flaspohler. She was married on May 6, 1941, in Glasgow to Fred F. Rost, Sr., who died on Dec. 10, 1989. Mrs. Rost was a 1936 graduate of St. Elizabeth Academy in St. Louis, MO. A homemaker and artist, she was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral where she was involved in various activities; Jefferson City China Painters; World Organization of China Painters; and St. Marys Medical Center Auxiliary. In her later years, Anna Marie devoted much time to painting and creating works of art. Her china paintings were recognized at state and regional competitions and remain as a legacy for everyone to enjoy. She encouraged and taught others to share her appreciation of art and to develop their own artistic talents. Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Carol Ann Luebbert Zeman, Osage Beach, MO; Barbara and James Vossen, Jefferson City; and Margaret Rost, Jefferson City; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Fred F. Rost, Jr. and his fiance, Bonnie Krieger, Jefferson City; Thomas H. and Jacqueline Rost, Jefferson City; and Paul David and Kathi Rost, Niwot, CO; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one brother and two sisters-in-law, Robert and Minerva Flaspohler, Shawnee Mission, KS; and Misti Flaspohler, Laurie, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother, Harold Flaspohler. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2007, at St. Joseph Cathedral with the Rev. Jeremy A. Secrist officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday, March 11th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to American Parkinson Disease District Association, Washington University School of Medicine, Campus Box 8111, 660 S.
