Anthony Adrell Tony Johnson, 57, of Jefferson City, died Monday, March 27, 2006, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born on June 6, 1948 in St. Louis, the son of Wardell and Marjorie Little Booker. He was married on Oct. 24, 1975 in St. Louis to Mary Lynne Coleman who survives at the home. Mr. Johnson was a graduate of Soldan High School, St. Louis, and attended the University of Missouri at St. Louis. He had been employed with General Motors Corporation in St Louis; was in charge of the public address systems at the Missouri State Capitol; and in recent years was a claims recovery specialist with Professional Services & Resources. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church and current chairman of the Deacon Board; and was a past Commander of Tony Jenkins American Legion Post 231. Other survivors include two daughters, Michelle Johnson and Florice Johnson, both of Jefferson City; four sons, Tyrone Wilson, Brock Johnson, Michael Johnson, and Jermaine White, all of Jefferson City; five grandchildren, Mariya Wilson, Tyra Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Davion Jackson, and Fred Wilson, Jr.; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Laurel and Charles Martin, Vickie Bryant, and Karla Booker, all of St. Louis; Six brothers and four sisters-in-law, Gregory Johnson, Kevin and Wanda Johnson, Gary and Gloria Booker, Derek and Fernanda Booker, Alex and Lillian Booker, and Wardell Booker III, all of St. Louis; his extended family, Jasmine Collins, David Taylor, Chris Wright, Fernando Cartagena, Allen Sykes, and Derrick Boyce; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and church family members. He was preceded in death by one son, Fred Wilson. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2006, at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, Holts Summit, with the Rev. Gordon Coleman officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 31st, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
