He was born in Decatur, Illinois to Walter and Helen Riechmann Bombal. He is survived by two sons, Jeff Bombal, Decatur, Illinois and Brad Bombal, Palatine, Illinois; one daughter, Sara Jensen, Mundelein, Illinois; five grandchildren; two sisters, Gertrude Cearlock, Decatur, Illinois and Bertha Radclifs, Cape Girardeau; and a special friend, Dorothy Gilpin. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Walter Alexander Bombal, Jr. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was employed with Prost Builders and later with Paul Frank Contractors as a project manager for over forty years, until retirement in 2002.
