August Julius Jacquin, 93, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, August 3, 2004, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility. He was born on September 12, 1910, in Bonnots Mill, MO, the son of Julius and Agnes Nolte Jacquin. He was married on Aug. 18, 1936, in Linn to Amelia Mary Maasen who died on January 27, 2004. Survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law, Leon and Kathryn Jacquin, Villa Ridge, MO; Gerald Jake and Mary Sue Jacquin, Falcon, MO; Kenneth and Barbara Jacquin, Austin, TX; Paul Jake and Karen Jacquin, Holts Summit; and Thomas and Mary Jacquin, Maryland Heights, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Gary Clarke, Lees Summit, MO; eighteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Frank, Joseph, Tony, and Al Jacquin; and two sisters, Rose Schermann; and Angelia Gilbert. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2004, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick G. Dolan officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1206 E. Mr. Jacquin was a barber most of his life until he retired in 1979, after which he barbered part-time and worked with his wife at Missouri Electric Cooperative. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
