Austin Monroe Hardin, Jr., 54, of Russellville, Mo., died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born on Oct. 30, 1953, in Jefferson City, the son of Austin Monroe, Sr. and Mary Katherine Shoults Hardin. He was married in April, 1974, in Hartsburg, Mo., to Carol Marie Hoffman. Mr. Hardin was employed as a custodian at Jefferson City High School for the past ten years. He previously worked with the former Mid-MO Well Drilling Company for sixteen years. He was an avid Nascar Racing fan and enjoyed working on cars. Survivors include his two daughters, Stacey L. Hardin, Lohman, Mo.; and Krystle L. Behrens, Russellville; three grandchildren, Skyler Smallwood, Kayla Behrens, and Payton Behrens; two brothers, Dennis Hardin, Holts Summit; and Michael Hardin, California, Mo.; and his former wife, Carol Marie Thiemann, Russellville. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hartsburg, Mo. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
