Beatrix "Bea" Loretta Epple

Beatrix Bea Loretta Epple, 89, Taos, died Thursday, September 20, 2007 at the Westphalia Retirement Center. She was born on October 12, 1917, in Rhineland, MO the daughter of John Sr. and Myrtle Metzler Daller. She was united in marriage to Joseph Louis Epple on August 21, 1935 in Starkenburg, Mo. He preceded her in death on January 21, 1993. Bea worked for House of Bargains for 15 years and was also a homemaker. Throughout her life a great love of hers was to sew. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and Legion of Mary. Survivors include: one daughter and her husband, Renilda and Donald Mertens, Taos; a daughter-in-law, Elsie Epple, Jefferson City; seven grandchildren, Jim Epple, Ken and Darla Epple, Lisa and Tim Tharp, Donna and Richard Linnenbrink, Douglas and Marcey Mertens, Diane and Michael C. Wehrle, and Denise and Herbert Jr. Conner; 13 great-grandchildren, Cole and Jesse Epple, Alex, George, and Lily Tharp, Zachary and Emily Mertens, Chloe, Presley and Keegan Wehrle, and Morgan, Ben, and Elizabeth Conner; three sisters, Evelyn Bishop, Hermann; Melvia Skibiski, Bullhead, AZ; and Jeannette Stinson, Holdenville, OK; and one sister-in-law, Marvine Daller, Hermann. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Orval (Ep) Epple; three brother, Victor Daller, Cecil Daller, and John Daller Jr.; and two sisters, Adeline Hackman and Theoda Toeinskoetter. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2007, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Taos, with the Rev. J. David Maher officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 8:30-10 a.m. Monday at the church. Memorials are suggested to Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows in Starkenburg, MO; or donors choice.
