Betty Ann Codones, 78, of St. Peters, MO, died Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at her residence. She was born on July 31, 1925 in Flora, Illinois, the daughter of John C. and Mary Jane Hardy Hoagland. She was married in 1941 in St. Louis to Eugene G. Barron. She was married on October 27, 1951 in St. Louis to Richard J. Steneck who died on May 31, 1985. She was married on July 31, 1990 in Haines City, Florida to Peter J. Codones who died in August, 1999. Mrs. Codones is survived by one son, Eugene G. Barron, Jr., Florissant, MO; two daughters and their husbands, Debbie and Gregg Bauridl, St. Peters, MO; and Randy and Eldon Kelley, Freeburg, MO; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Wayne Starkey, Kirkwood, MO. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sondra J. Starkey; one brother, Carl Hoagland; and one daughter-in-law, Roberta J. Barron. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2004, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, 3210 N. Ten Mile Drive, Jefferson City, with the Rev. R.W. Beard officiating. Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 2932 Mohawk, Jefferson City, MO 65101. A homemaker, Mrs. Codones had been employed as a beautician in Clayton, Mo; as a keypunch operator with the St. Louis Police Department; as a care giver with Sunshine Day Care Center in Holts Summit, MO; and most recently as a rental agent for Colonial West Apartments in Jefferson City. She was a member of the United Presbyterian faith and had also attended Central United Church of Christ. She enjoyed music and dancing, and was a federally licensed Amateur Radio Operator with the call sign of KE4KDG.
