You are missed! We love you! See you soon! With all our love. LOVE ! From Donnie,Cathie, Michael, Barb & Danny Cottrell
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
For several years Ms Betty sat behind us in church every Sunday. She would always pat us both on our shoulders and say “good morning Pointers”. After she was in the wheelchair, she still was up in front. When church was over, I always got my hug from her. She was such a special lady, we will truly miss her. Our thoughts, prayers and sympathy are with you all. God’s blessings Barb and Jerry Pointer
Love you always! See you soon!
Betty was such a sweet lady. We so enjoyed our conversations after church, and she always told me how lucky I am to have such a sweet and good looking husband. She gave great advise to cherish the ones we love. She always waved and smiled at us as we we walked back back to our pew from communion, it won’t be the same without her there, she will be greatly missed.
We, too, will miss her. Our friendship also developed at church. We talked on the phone many times and she was a very special lady.
I only just heard of Betty’s passing. She was my Mother’s best friend when I was a little girl. I remember when she and Richard married. They were a big part of our lives until we moved to Texas in 1980. They visited often! I had the great pleasure to talk to her a few times these last few years, she was sharp as a tack and had the best memories to share. She loved her family and friends fiercely. I will love her always. Excited she is singing with my Mom in heaven! Leigh Ann Davis Cox (TJ’s daughter)
Betty was a dear friend to my husband and I when we lived in Jeff City and I worked with her at MO Dept of Revenue. She and Richard became our surrogate parents as we were very young and far away from our families. Later they came to visit us after we moved to GA and then SC. Our children called them Grandmom Betty and Papa Richard and she hung their picture on the same wall as her grandchildren. We came to Richard’s funeral and she visited us in S.C. for my son’s high school graduation. She and Phil even joined us on vacation in FL one year. We kept in contact via phone after that and the calls got further in between as the years went by. I’m so ashamed that I’m only now finding out she had passed but deep down I knew because everytime I thought about calling her I didn’t because I think I just wanted to keep believing she would always be around for love, advice, laughter and remembering the good ole days! Dennis and Donnie she adored the 2 of you so much! Phil thank you can never be enough for all you did for Betty over the years!
