Carl John Hadwick, 65, formerly of Jefferson City, died Saturday, October 18, 2003, in Anchorage, Alaska. He was born on September 2, 1938 in Jefferson City, the son of Joseph Anton Hadwick and Caroline Mary Lehman Hadwick. Survivors include one brother, Clarence J. Hadwick, Jefferson City; one sister, Pauline Hadwick Rost, Jefferson City; and a niece, Janet M. Ruth, Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by a sister, Genevieve Magdalena Hadwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Cathedral with the Rev. Frederick J. Elskamp officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Multiple Sclerosis Institute at University Hospital, D.C. 205.00, Columbia, MO 65212; or to the Helias Foundation, P.O. He transferred to De La Salle Institute in Glencoe, MO in 1954, graduating in 1956. In 1957 he completed the Christian Brothers Novitiate at Glencoe, MO, receiving the name of Brother Kenelm Dominic, FSC. He graduated from St. Marys College, Winona, MN, in 1960 with a Bachelor of Science degree in three majors. He taught at various Christian Brothers High Schools in the St. Louis Province. He later worked for several years in American Samoa until retiring in Anchorage, Alaska due to ill health.
