She was born in Waubay, South Dakota to Harvey Moss and Helen Block Moss. Her mother, Helen Moss Radtke, survives in Waubay, South Dakota. She was married on September 18, 1965 in Rapid City, South Dakota, to John Allen Wansing who survives at the home. Other survivors include five sons, Dan Washenberger, Rapid City, South Dakota; Robert Washenberger, Glendale, Arizona; John Wansing, Jr., Aurora, Colorado; Anthony Wansing, Jefferson City; and Kevin Wansing, Warrensburg; one daughter, Karen Martin, Rapid City, South Dakota; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Richard Moss, Rapid City, South Dakota; Dennis Moss, Waubay, South Dakota; Garry Moss, Castlewood, South Dakota; and Larry Radtke, Tucson, Arizona. She was employed for six years with Wal-Mart, Inc., Jefferson City, and for sixteen years with Montgomery-Ward, Inc., Jefferson City. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and the Wardsville Card Club.
