Charles Daniel Klenc, 87, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born on April 21, 1918 in St. Louis, the son of Charles Joseph and Estelle Catherine Daly Klenc. He was married on Nov. 20, 1948 in Florissant, MO, to Ethel Frances Schwerak who survives at the home. Mr. Klenc was employed in the engineering department at McDonnell-Douglas Corp. in St. Louis for over thirty years until his retirement in 1981. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Other survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Edward and June Klenc, Florissant, MO; and one sister, Frances, San Diego, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Steven Charles Klenc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick G. Dolan officiating. Entombment will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
