Christopher Marcel Jensen, 45, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022, at his residence, after a short cancer illness.

He was born on November 11, 1976, in Palos Heights, Illinois, the son of Milton Richard “Mike” and Mary Rita (Good) Jensen.

A 1996 graduate from Southern Boone County High School, he received an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology from Linn Technical College in 1998.

Christopher worked for various auto parts stores but most recently was employed by Riley/Rusty Drewing Toyota in Jefferson City as a parts salesman.

An avid lover of old cars and trucks, Christopher took immense pride in the 1969 Chevrolet pickup truck that he was building. He enjoyed drag car racing and was nicknamed by his friends, “Fast Freddy.” Christopher was very easygoing, had many friends and was very generous with his time, talents, and knowledge of vehicles.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Jensen, Ashland, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Jensen.

Visitation will be from 1-3:00 p.m. and the funeral service will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. The service will be live streamed for those who wish to watch from home. The link can be found on Chris’s obituary page under Tribute Wall at www.dulletrimble.com.

Interment will immediately follow the service at Riverview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to English Springer Rescue America Inc (ESRA).

  2. I am truly sorry to hear of Chris’s passing. I worked with him for quite a few years. He was a great guy with a heart of gold. My condolences to his family.

  3. We first met Chris when Mary was taking care of my mother during her hospice. Chris showed great compassion, even taking her to a Christmas show at the lake.
