Cletus Bernard Bode, 95, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005, after a brief stay at St. Joseph Home for the Aged. He was born on Feb 16, 1910, in Folk, the son of Stephan and Johanna Koetting Bode. He was married on Sept. 2, 1935, in Wardsville to Margaret Ann Roling who survives at the home. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Bode was employed for twenty years with the Missouri State Highway Department where he retired in 1978 as Supervisor of Records. He also worked at Tweedie Footwear for twenty-seven years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; Holy Name Society; Legion of Mary; Immaculate Conception Prayer Line; and an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus. Other survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Edward Joseph Joe and Dianne Bode, Sedalia; two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Janet Evers, Jefferson City, and Jean Marie & Nelson Brandt, Chamois; seven grandchildren, Matthew Evers, Stephen Bode, Tim Evers, Sarah Eisenmenger, Becky Evers, Richard Brandt, and Randy Brandt; one great-grandson, Bode Tucker Eisenmenger; two brothers, Fred Bode, Jefferson City; and Alex Bode, Hallsville; four sisters, Marie Stokes, Taos; and Mildred Landwehr, Helen Blume, and Gertrude Kaemmerlen, all of Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by one brother, Edwin Bode; and two sisters, Catherine Graessle and Dorothy Smith. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick G. Dolan officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29th, at Dulle Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Endowment Fund, 1206 E.
