Daniel Gerald Kempker, 62, of Folk, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born February 11, 1962, in Jefferson City, the son of Virgil Henry and Rose Ann (Veit) Kempker.

He was a 1980 graduate of Fatima High School in Westphalia.

Danny was a professional mechanic for 40 years with Steinmetz Automotive. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Folk. Danny enjoyed hunting and fishing, farming, tinkering with cars and trucks, riding on 4-wheelers, and traveling with Cindy. He was a devoted loving father proudly raising his three successful children.

Survivors include three children, James (Valerie) Kempker, Belle, MO; Megan (Patrick) Kane, Kansas City, MO; Sarah Kempker (Kenny Jones), Kansas City, MO; his mother, Rose Kempker, Westphalia; his companion, Cindy James, Taos; 3 grandchildren, Gavin Kempker, Dominic Kempker, Cora Kane; and 7 siblings, Deborah Thompson, Jefferson City; Diane (Raymond) Morgan, Folk; David Kempker, Folk; Dwayne (Tanya) Kempker, Folk; Doris West, Freeburg; Donna Kesel, Folk; and Delores “Lynn” Kempker, Folk.

He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Kempker; 2 sisters, Darlene Welschmeyer and Dawn Ramos; and a niece, Ivy Kempker.

Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2025, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Westphalia. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Dylan Schrader officiating.

Burial will be in St. Anthony Parish Cemetery in Folk.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
