Darrell G. Lueckenhoff

darrell lueckenhoff

Darrell Gene Lueckenhoff, 65, of Jefferson City passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at his home.

He was born December 16, 1959, to Alfred Lueckenhoff and the late Nordelle (Sanning) Lueckenhoff of Jefferson City.  He attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School and after graduating from Helias Catholic High School in 1978, Darrell attended Missouri State University, formerly SMSU in Springfield.  He continued his education, attaining his Associate Degree from State Technical College, formerly Linn Tech. Darrell began his career working for Underwriters Laboratories. When his parents started Central Appliance Service, Darrell joined the family business serving Central Missouri. Upon his dad’s retirement in 1996, Darrell took over ownership of the business and operated for 29 years.

From an early age, his younger brother couldn’t pronounce Darrell and called him “Go-Go”, which stuck as his nickname because of his abundant energy. Darrell was always on the go camping, fishing, traveling, attending rock concerts, working in his garage, or just juggling his many passion projects.  With a highly inquisitive mind and a knack for tinkering and fixing, Darrell loved learning the ins and outs of anything electronic, robotic, or mechanical and could fix anything.  He was a ‘people person’ with a generous heart of gold. Anyone who needed Darrell’s help, he was there for them. He treasured spending time with family and friends and with a huge smile and contagious laugh, he brought life to every gathering.

Darrell is survived by his father Alfred, his daughter Amanda Lueckenhoff (fiancé Kevin Sanders) of Jefferson City; four siblings: Dale Lueckenhoff of Holts Summit, Darlene Rice of Cincinnati, Ohio, Diane Schnieders of Wardsville, and Danny (Anne) Lueckenhoff of Ft. Worth. Texas; 11 nieces and nephews; and mother of his daughter, Lauri Mueller of Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by his life partner, Tracy Choisser.

Visitation will be Friday, January 10, 2025, at Trimble Funeral Home-Jefferson City from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 3:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Reverend Matthew Flatley officiating. Trimble Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.  trimblefunerals.com
