David John Luebbert, 73, of Westphalia, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born October 4, 1951, in Jefferson City, the son of William and Loretta (Stegeman) Luebbert.

David was a 1969 graduate of Fatima High School in Westphalia.

On July 7, 1973, in Rich Fountain, he was united in marriage to Helen Ann Bock who survives at the home.

David worked for over 30 years as a sheet metal fabricator and installer for Rehagen Heating & Cooling. Following retirement, David also helped part-time with Wayne Rademan at Thermal Pro Heating & Cooling.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia and a former fire fighter with the Westphalia Fire Department. David enjoyed working on the family farm, gardening, canning, hunting, and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Luebbert, Westphalia; four children, Chris (Teresa) Luebbert, Westphalia; Melissa (Chad) Karst, Westphalia; Travis (Sara) Luebbert, Westphalia; Patrick Luebbert, Navarre, FL; eight grandchildren, Anna Luebbert, Ben Luebbert, Carter Karst, Corinn Karst, Kaitlyn Luebbert, Isaac Luebbert, Chase Luebbert, Zoe Luebbert; four siblings, Charles (Margie) Luebbert, Westphalia; Helen (Jerry) French, Florissant; Rose (Stan) Busken, Liberty; Therese (Ron) Patterson, Westphalia; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Joseph Luebbert; a niece, Sheila Roark; and a nephew, William “Little Bill” Luebbert.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Friday, December 6, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dylan Schrader, PhD and the Rev. James Finder concelebrating.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Central Missouri Hospice.
