Debra Ann Eiken Begemann, 42, of Jefferson City, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at her residence following a courageous two year battle with cancer. She was born on April 28, 1964, in Jefferson City, the daughter of James John and Angeline Catherine Bruns Eiken. She was married on Oct. 15, 1994, in Jefferson City to Gale Blake Begemann who survives in Henley, MO. A 1982 graduate of Helias High School, Debbie was employed for twenty-four years with the Missouri Department of Revenue where she served as Revenue Licensing Technician II. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and enjoyed camping, watching her daughter play softball, and other family members at their sporting events. She loved pets and had a great sense of humor. Other survivors include one daughter, Kara Lynn Begemann, at home; four sisters and their husbands, Sharon K. Schuster, Jefferson City; Shirley M. and Vernon Adams, Jefferson City; Darlene E. and James Owens, Holts Summit; and Donna M. and Ed Corum, Wichita, KS; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Gary J. and Kristi Eiken; Dennis G. Eiken; and Richard J. Rick Eiken, all of Jefferson City; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Derrick Blake Begemann. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank A. Bussman officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Kara Begemann Education Fund at Central Bank.
