Delores Ann Nilges, 81, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Oak Tree Villas.
She was born June 19, 1936, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Herbert Joseph and Augusta Hedwig (Bax) Nilges.
She was a 1954 graduate of St. Elizabeth High School.
Delores worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation and other various agencies as a senior data entry operator from 1958 till her retirement in 1991. She later worked part-time for Canteen Vending as a computer operator from 1991-2008.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Immaculta Club, Ave Maria Chapter; and volunteered at the Samaritan Center and Goldschmidt Cancer Center.
Delores enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing games on the computer and loved being with her family.
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Vic Lock, Jefferson City; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and sister-in-law, August Gus and Marilyn Nilges; and a sister, Elizabeth Betty Nilges.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald J. Antweiler officiating.
Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Elizabeth Alumni Scholarship, 240 Church St., St. Elizabeth, MO 65075 or Masses.

Helen & Vic. so sorry about your lost ! she was a very good person & a lot of fun to be around. Helen you was a very good & wonderful sister to her.& she knew you was always there for her. Now she can rest in peace & won’t have all the pain she was starting to have. So now you can rest too & now worry no more she is in Heaven with her family.
