Dolores Gertrude Stockman, 93, of St. Martins, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

 

She was born August 28, 1930, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Henry Jacob and Elizabeth (Westerman) Wegman.

 

She was united in marriage on July 20, 1946, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City to Norbert Joseph Stockman who preceded her in death on December 3, 1988.

 

She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church.  Dolores retired from retail sales after many years.  She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren, and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.  GO CHIEFS!

 

Survivors include her two children, Carl (Debbie) Stockman, Jefferson City; Paula (Dave) Amos, Centertown; three grandchildren, Matthew (Ashley) Stockman, Scott (Marya) Amos, Michael (Ashley) Stockman; six great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Louise (H.T.) Smith; and a brother, Harold (Nilda) Wegman.

 

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at St. Martin Catholic Church.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jason Doke officiating.

 

Burial will be in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

 

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Masses.

    I was so sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing. I have such fond memories of her spunk, keen sense of humor, and hard work ethic. She made a difference in so many people’s lives, especially my Mom and Dad. I wish I could have attended the celebration of her your Mom’s life.
