Doris Jean Windsor, 71, of Jefferson City, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born on Aug. 10, 1934 in Pilot Grove, MO, the daughter of Ralph Otto and Sophie Vollmer Schuster. She was married on Jan. 30, 1954 in Boonville, MO, to Donald Johnson Windsor who died on March 19, 1975. A 1953 graduate of Pilot Grove High School, Mrs. Windsor was employed for several years with McGraw-Edison Corporation and later with Westinghouse and ABB corporations for twenty-four years until retiring as a supervisor in 1997. Following retirement she was employed with Dix Road Cleaners. A member of St. Martin Catholic Church, she loved spending time with her family and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy J. and Daryl Hammond, Jefferson City; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Larry K. and Connie Windsor, Jefferson City; Mark J. and Judy Windsor, Longwood, FL; and Paul D. Windsor, Lees Summit, MO; six grandchildren, Dustin Hammond and his wife, Nikki; Whitney Windsor; Kelly Hammond; Teri Windsor; Nikki Windsor; and Brock Windsor; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Carole and Harold Borts, St. Louis; and Jeanette Reichel, Boonville; and three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jerry and Maryann Schuster; and Kenneth and Linda Schuster, all of Blackwater, MO; and Steve Schuster, Boonville. She was preceded in death by one sister, Lucy Schuster. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 noon Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, at St. Martin Catholic Church with the Rev. Brendan Doyle and the Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Martin Cemetery.
