Dorothy Betty Jean Jarvis, 83, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, November 22, 2012, at Heisinger Bluffs.
She was born on January 24, 1929, in Frankclay, Missouri, the daughter of the late Price Alexander and Ella Martha (Rasnic) Glore.
She was a 1947 graduate of Frankclay High School.
She was united in marriage on February 28, 1948, in Piggott, Arkansas to Manuel H. Jarvis who preceded her in death on April 9, 1993.
Mrs. Jarvis was a homemaker and was a secretary at Frankclay Elementary School. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.
She enjoyed reading, needlepoint, bowling, and especially loved her time with family and friends.
Survivors include: two sons, Terry (Ellen) Jarvis, Jefferson City; Rodger (Patsy) Jarvis, Jefferson City; three grandchildren, Andrew Scott Jarvis, Samuel Mark Jarvis, Laura Lee Jarvis; and two great-grandchildren, Tyler Jarvis and Vada Jarvis.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Galena Creason, Geneva Parker, Anna Parish, and Wilma Glore; and four brothers, Theodore Glore, Marion Glore, Darrell Glore, and Alvin Glore.
Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2012, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with Dr. Brian K. Credille officiating.
Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. Monday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
