Dorothy Elizabeth Brigham, 94, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at Oak Tree Villas. She was born on March 28, 1913, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Stanford Stanton and Nora Marie Welch Madden. She was married on June 8, 1934, in Kansas City to Herbert Dwight Brigham who died on May 10, 1981. She was a 1930 graduate of St. Vincent Academy in Kansas City. A homemaker, Mrs. Brigham was a secretary with the Boone Electric Cooperative in Columbia, Mo., for twelve years until her retirement in 1971. She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church and St. Marys Health Center Auxiliary. Survivors include two daughters, Judith K. Bethel and her husband, Dr. James W. Bethel, of San Diego, Calif.; and Cynthia S. Fehr of Wardsville, and her fianc, Marlin L. Mosby of Memphis, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Adam D. Fehr, James C. Bethel, Amy E. Bethel, and Mark D. Bethel; three step-grandchildren, Brenda K. Fehr, Dana L. Fehr, and Troy L. Fehr; three great-grandchildren, Sophia A. Bethel, Donnie Jurgensmeyer, and Delaney Jurgensmeyer; and one brother and his wife, Stan C. and Marge Madden, Kansas City, Mo. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Bethel; three sisters, Margaret Swenson, Madlyn Fenning, and Helen Madden; one brother, Matthew Madden; and two sons-in-law, Gregory W. Bond and Donald R. Fehr. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph with the Rev. Joseph L. Shetler officiating. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Childrens Mercy Hospital, 2401 Gillham Road, Kansas City, MO 64108.
