She was born in Jefferson City to Frank Joseph and Henrietta Bembooom Rackers. Surviviors include three nephews, Robert J. Rackers, Jefferson City; Fred L. Rackers, Jefferson City; and Harold C. Shelton, Mount Vernon, Texas; and two nieces, Marilyn A. Allen and Jane F. Rackers, both of Jefferson City. Miss Rackers served for thirty-one years with the Missouri Division of Procurement and the Missouri Department of Revenue until her retirement in 1983. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church; Ladies Sodality; St. Marys Health Center Auxiliary; and the Legion of Mary.
