Dorothy Marie Prenger, 96, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, September 01, 2010, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born on August 21, 1914, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Peter Henry and Catherine Wekenborg Prenger. Dorothy worked as a legal secretary for the Missouri Highway Department. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Ritas Circle, Daughters of Isabella, and St. Marys Health Center Auxiliary. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, quilting, and gardening.
Survivors include: one sister, Berniece Kaiser, Jefferson City; one brother, Herbert Prenger, St. Charles; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant sister, one sister, Edna Prenger; and three brothers, A.J. Pete Prenger, Victor Prenger, and Robert Prenger.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, September 3, 2010, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Brendan P. Doyle officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
