John and I will sorely miss Tom. He was smart, compassionate and caring. A very good friend. Thank you Tom for the horn on my walking caneߑ John & Sandie Cope
So sorry for your loss. Hugs and prayers for you and your family.
Dr. Hartman was one of my first college professors. His enthusiasm, sense of humor and respect for his students made every class a true event. My sincere condolences to the family and a special thanks for sharing him with so many.
I was a junior faculty member at UWS when Tom took me under his wing and provided both guidance and friendship. He was smart and kind. My condolences to his family.
Please accept my sincere condolences for Mr Hartman. I enjoyed it when he was a lector at Mass. His reading of the scriptures was thought provoking; I will miss his careful and measured recitation. Your family and Mr Hartman will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Thomas C Hartman wrote a wonderful PhD Thesis at Brandeis (1967), on the battle of Kadesh and its grammar, which I have used over and over. Lovely work! Anthony Spalinger
