Edith Marie Edie Frankenberg Strand, 80, Jefferson City, died Monday, December 10, 2007, at her residence. She was born on January 25, 1927, in Chicago, Il., the daughter of William Joseph and Eleanor Carlson Frankenberg. She was married on October 9, 1948 in Walworth, Wis., to Leif William Bernard Strand who survives at the home. Mrs. Strand and her husband owned and operated Wal-Matic Inc. in Wisconsin, a metal fabrication business. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and a member of the Bettes Red Hatters. Other survivors include: three sons and their wives, Eric Leif and Mary Strand, Eau Claire, Wis.; Neil Bernard and Judy Strand, Stuartstown, Pa; and Leif William Bernard and Jocelyn Strand Jr., Jefferson City, MO; four grandchildren, Corey and Pete Baltos; Brennan Strand; Alex Strand; and Isabella Strand; and three sisters and brother-in-law, Bernice and Cas Goryn; Evelyn Drewes; and Delores Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Tristan William Strand. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2007, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Musselman officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home.
