Guestbook

  1. So sorry about the loss of your father. He and your mother Audrey use to come in the Bank and we would visit. I loved their visits. They were such a cute couple and loved each other so. A perfect pair now in heaven. Hopefully Ed is already fishing!

  3. Dean, Ron, Howard, Albert and families,
I am saddened to learn of your father’s death. Uncle Ed was my god-father and a wonderful uncle. I have fond memories of both he and Aunt Audrey. One of my earliest memories was a birthday (or Christmas) gift from him. It was a bright red, fly-by-wire, helicopter. It ran from a controller that looked like a flashlight with a long flexible cable attaching the controller to the helicopter. It could pick up small cargo items with a hook. As I recall, I may have chased some of my siblings with it and perhaps dinged up some furniture. I was delivering cargo “drone-like” 60 years before Amazon ever thought of it, because of your Dad.
I remember Uncle Ed working to build the fishing cabin by the Osage River. He was the brains behind how to construct everything from walls to trusses. I may have even been allowed to hammer a few nails!
Later in years, Uncle Ed raised the biggest sweet potatoes I have ever seen. He was proud of them, and gladly gave Sandy and I some to take home.
Most of all, I remember his smile, his willingness to listen, and the way that he made me feel special.
May God bless your families with joy as you reflect on his life, wisdom as you deal with the many decisions to be made, and peace as you struggle with the empty spot in your hearts.
