Ed was a wonderful man. I enjoyed my many conversations with him throughout the years and always found him to be intelligent and passionate but with a keen interest in the opinions of others. I’ll be out of town and unable to attend services but Ed’s family will certainly be in my thoughts and prayers.
I first met Ed in August, 1973 when my parents bought the house next to the Bodes. Ed and my Father had many intellectual discussions and it seemed no matter the topic, Ed was extremely knowledgeable. However, when it came to home ownership, Ed would seek the advice from my Father, a self-taught craftsman who learned from trial/error & shared his expertise. What a wonderful time on Western Air Drive! I am once again a resident on this street and your presence will certainly will be missed. RIP Mr. Bode and thank you for all you taught so many of us while you were with us. Melinda Dolan Sanders

Our condolences to the family of Edward Lynn Bode. May he rest in peace. Ed was a good man, and such a delight. His guest-speaker presentations of family history at the annual Bode reunions were exceptional. Careful research and excitement about what he found were just two of his top-notch traits! He will be missed. Sincerely, ~Elaine Bode-Oliver & Del Oliver.
Dear Jewel- my deepest sympathy to you for the loss of Ed. Seems like you had a good long time together but it’s never enough. Wishing you peace and comfort. Chris Brandel Nigro
