He was born in Loose Creek to Jacob Dudenhoeffer and Katharina Ebert Dudenhoeffer. He was married on Novermber 25, 1941 in Bonnots Mill, MO to Beulah Agatha Kirsch who survives at the home. Other survivors include one brother, Jake Dudenhoeffer, Florissant, MO; two sisters, Catherine Heidbreder and Evelyn Knatcal, both of Jefferson City; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, and two sisters. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church; Holy Name Society; American Legion Post No. 5; Roy Sone Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1003 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 2693. Memorials are suggested to Community Hospice of America, 628 E. High Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101; or a charity of the donor's choice. Mr. Dudenhoeffer was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II earning five bronze stars during his service from 1943-1945. He was employed with Lincoln Engineering Company, St. Louis, from 1942 to 1943; was a carpenter with John Weber Construction Company, Jefferson City, for ten years; and owned and operated the Edwin Dudenhoeffer Cabinet Shop for twenty-seven years until retiring in 1984. He will be remembered for his great talent of carpentry work.
