She was born in Puebla, Mexico to Roberto Lugo and Consuelo Mendez Lugo. Her mother survives in Puebla, Mexico. She was married on September 7, 1962 In Pueblo, Mexico to Ted Dixon, Sr. who survives at the home. Other survivors include two sons, Ted Dixon, Jr. and Richard Dixon, both of Kirkwood; two daughters, Rebecca Dixon-Lazzaro, Brentwood; and Adriane Dixon-Crouse, Jefferson City; 7 grandchildren; and a brother, Rafael Lugo, Puebla, Mexico. She was graduated from the University of Puebla in Mexico in 1958 with a degree in Pharmacology and Accounting. She worked for many years for a local pharmacy prior to starting her family.
