Elizabeth Cecilia Meller, 81, of Lohman, died Friday, September 24, 2004, at St. Marys Health Center. She was born on November 13, 1922, in St. Thomas, the daughter of Peter Simon and Cunigunda Bock Groner. She was married on July 11, 1946 in St. Thomas to Lawrence Emil Meller who survives at the home. Other survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Kaye Meller, Lohman; and Tom and Karen Meller, Lohman; one daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Don Stockman, Wardsville; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Louise Schepker, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Donald Meller; one brother, Norbert Groner; and one sister, Tillie Schulte. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 noon Monday, September 27, 2004, at St. Martin Catholic Church with the Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Martin Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2004, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Jefferson City, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be 10:30-noon Monday at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. Martin Catholic Church, 7148 St. Martins Avenue, Jefferson City, MO 65109; or a charity of the donors choice. A 1941 graduate of Meta High School, Mrs. Meller was a homemaker and mother and assisted her husband in farming. She had been employed in the offices of several area businesses through the years. She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church; Ladies Sodality; Fifty-plus Club; Lohman Community Association; St. Marys Health Center Auxiliary; and was an election judge and poll worker.
