Emil Conrad Kemna, 90, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born on Oct. 26, 1918, in St. Elizabeth, the son of Adolph Conrad Kemna and Mary Catherine Jurgensmeyer Kemna. He was married on May 25, 1946, in St. Elizabeth, Mo. to Blanche Lucille Oligschlaeger who died on Jan. 21, 2008. In earlier years, Mr. Kemna was a farmer and a dynamiter for Rural Electric Company. Later, he was a truck driver and spent the last thirty-two years working as a sales rep for Keebler Company, retiring in 1979. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; Holy Name Society; and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2693. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Beth and Daniel Strode, New London, Mo.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bernard and Marilyn Kemna, St. Martins, Mo.; and Michael and Mary Jane Kemna, Gallatin, Mo.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Nettie Bruer and Helen Kemna, both of St. Charles. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Albert Kemna; three sisters, Pauline Smith, Rose Williams, and Elsie Kemna; and one grandson, Jason Strode. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31st, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Benjamin Nwosu officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
