Eric Ejiogu Nkwocha, 54, of Jefferson City, died Monday, August 10, 2009, at St. Mary’s Health Center. He was born on December 24, 1954, in Kaduna, Nigeria, the son of Thomas Onyeachubulam and Martha Ekpe Nkwocha. Eric had been employed with Golden Living Center. He was a member of Solid Rock Family Church, and the Jefferson City Chapter of the NAACP. Survivors include: three brothers, George Nkwocha, Jefferson City; Leonard S. Nkwocha; Theophilus Nkwocha, both of Nigeria; two sisters, Stella Umeike and Nwakaego Nkwocha;, Nigeria; four sisters-in-law, Chinyere “Chi Chi” Nkwocha, Ijeoma Nkwocha, Chizo Nkwocha, Ada Nkwocha; a brother-in-law, Meshack C. Umeike; five nieces, Georgia Nkwocha, Samantha Nkwocha, Chidimma Nkwocha, Nzubechi Nkwocha, Mesoma Nkwocha; three nephews, Mitchell Nkwocha, Terrence Nkwocha, Chibueze Nkwocha; his step-mother, Sarah Nkwocha; many cousins including, Daniel Opara, Emeka Nwankwo, Chinwe Nwankwo, Dr. Felix Edoho, Joekins Etoh, Alex Ekpe, Kelechi Ekpe, Harry Ekpe, Chigovie Ekpe, Freedom Ekpe; his god-father, Papa Nimrod Chapel, Sr.; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2009, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. John Skiles officiating.
