Ernest Fernard Wilson, 30, of Jefferson City, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, in Jefferson City. He was born on Jan. 5, 1975, in East St. Louis, Illinois, the son of Amenous Gale and Georgia Ruth Wilson. He was married on Aug. 13, 2003 in Moniteau County, MO to Charlene Sidney who survives at the home. He attended Lafayette Elementary School in East St. Louis, IL; Jefferson City High School; and Lincoln University where he was majoring in Business Administration. His goal was to work with problem children. Mr. Wilson was employed in Banquet Service at Capital Plaza Hotel. He was a gifted baseball player receiving many trophies and awards including Most Valuable Player in junior high school. Ernest gave his life to God at an early age and later re-dedicated his life attending the House of Refuge Church where one of his favorite songs was, Praise is What I Do. Ernest loved children, poetry, drums, drawing, and spending time with his friends and family. Other survivors include one daughter, Jacqueline Wilson, Jefferson City; his maternal grandmother, Birda M. Wilson, Omaha, Neb.; three brothers, Erick Gale, Omaha, Neb.; Patrick Jones and his fiance, Nakia Moore, Springfield, MO; and Derrick Jones, Centralia, IL; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Edna and Tyson Spears, Milwaukee, WI; and Kimberly and Demon Watts, Omaha, Neb.; one sister-in-law, Robin Deardorff, Jefferson City; one brother-in-law, Charles Kelly, Jefferson City; aunts and uncles, Margie and Bob Caldwell, Belleville, IL; Johnnie Mae Wilson, Omaha, Neb., who was his beloved surrogate mother; Joe Willie Wright, Joliet, IL; Joe Ann and Maurice Marks, East St. Louis, IL; Niko and Keb Prather, Texas; Tawanda Wilson, East St. Louis, IL; Patricia Wilson, East St. Louis, IL; and a host of loved ones including nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Amenous Gale, Jr.; and one sister, Judy Gale. He was a loving and devoted father who made friends with everyone who was blessed to meet him. All who knew and loved Ernest will sadly miss him. Funeral services will be 12 noon Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Alfonse Webb officiating. Burial will be in Longview Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Wilson Children Education Fund.
