Esther Ann Fromme, 93, of Taos, died Wednesday, September 13, 2006, at St. Marys Health Center. She was born on December 26, 1912 in Folk, MO, the daughter of George and Mary Rehagen Hilkemeyer.. She was married on June 29, 1931, in St. Louis, MO to Clarence Wallace Fromme, who died on February 22, 1984. She attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School in Folk, MO. She worked for several years at St. Marys Hospital in St. Louis and was a homemaker in later years. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church; a prayer partner at St. Francis Xavier School; and a member of St. Anns Sodality. Mrs. Fromme loved going to church and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, watching hummingbirds, playing cards and going fishing with her husband. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Patricia Elizabeth Fromme, Taos; two grandchildren and their spouses, David Emil and Sharraine D. Fromme, Holts Summit, and Beverly Ann and John William Thessen, Taos; one great-granddaughter, Kristin Marie Thessen; one great-grandson, Jacob William Thessen; one step-great-grandson, Derrick A. Meister; two sisters, Adella Schlittler and Florence Claeys, both of St. Louis; one sister-in-law, Loretta C. Hilkemeyer, Taos; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jackson Francis Fromme; one brother, George H. Hilkemeyer; and one sister Mary Louise Sansone. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 16th , 2006 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with the Rev. Roberto Ike officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16th, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Memorials are suggested to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 7319 Rt.
