Esther Ann Luebbert, 85, of Westphalia, died Thursday, December 23, 2004, in Westphalia. She was born on February 26, 1919 in Loose Creek, MO, the daughter of Martin and Christine Vogel Kliethermes. She was married on October 17, 1942 in Loose Creek to Wilfred Francis Luebbert who died on July 27, 1976. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Stan and Donna Luebbert, Westphalia; and Ron and Pat Luebbert, Westphalia; three daughters and their husbands, Rita and Elmer Bax, Westphalia; Kathy and Steve Krogh, Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Phyllis and Ralph Brandt, Linn, MO; a daughter-in-law, Margie Luebbert, Westphalia; twenty grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Levoy Luebbert; one infant granddaughter, Donna Brandt; two great-granddaughters, Ashley Bax and Samantha Hogan; three brothers, Alfred, Elmer, and Virgil Kliethermes; and two sisters, Florence Wilde and Alice Haslag. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2004, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, with the Rev. Philip M. Kane officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Westphalia. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, December 26, 2004, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Monday at the church. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia; Saint Ann Sewing Circle; Westphalia Knights of Columbus Council 1171 Auxiliary; Westphalia Senior Citizens; and Western Catholic Union.
