A great man . And as many mouths as they always had to feed , you always left there as full as everyone else . When you were there , like everyone else , if there was work to be done , you pitched in , and was considered one of theirs .Lots of good memories Eric.
I remember your dad as our bus driver! He was always so nice to us kids and I remember him in his hat which I think was his milk delivery hat but not sure! But to me it looked like a captain’s hat on a boat! Sending our deepest sympathy!!
Just learned of your Dad’s passing. So sorry to have missed the Funeral Mass. Gene was one of the special people that I remember while growing up in Wardsville. He seemed to always have a smile on his face and a friendly greeting for all of us kids. He was a fine man. DENNIS MARKWAY
Such a blessing that our kids got to know both Uncle Gene and Aunt Geraldine! Such a beautiful couple and so full of stories and graciousness. When we came to town our girls wanted to visit them at the family farm, first thing, and hear stories of the old days!! Loved how they dressed up to meet you for a casual lunch, and especially how Uncle Gene continued to dress up everyday and make Aunt Geraldine proud even after she had gone home to heaven. They are surely back together, dancing in heaven, but we sure miss them here on earth. Our hearts are with the entire family.
