She was born in New Franklin to Henry and Rose Spence Wright. She was married on November 17, 1934 in Eugene to James Dallas Parks who died on August 17, 1983. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James Peter and Dale Ann Parks, Rancho Murieta, California; two grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Parks and Jason Alexander Parks; and close family friends, James Tatum and Pat Wright-Tatum and family. She attended First Presbyterian Curch and the Ladies Circle, and was a member of the Lincoln University Alumni Association. Memorials are suggested to the Lincoln University Art Department, 820 Chestnut Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101. She was a 1929 graduate of Lincoln Lab School and attended Lincoln University. She owned and operated the Blue Tiger Restaurant from 1936 to 1946; the Campus Book Store at Lincoln University from 1946 to 1971; and was a clerk at the state capital from 1971 to 1973.
