Florence Ruby Geary, 91, of Ashland, died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Ashland Healthcare Center. She was born on Sept. 14, 1917, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Leonard and Emma Wilson Dillingham. She was married on Jan. 2, 1943, in St. Louis to Norman Joseph Geary, Sr., who survives at the home. Mrs. Geary was a cook at Riverview Gardens High School in St. Louis for more than twenty years. She was a member of Retired Citizens of Holts Summit. Other survivors include: two sons and a daughter-in-law, Norman and Annette Geary, Jr., Ashland, Mo.; Steven Geary, Holts Summit, Mo.; four grandchildren, Christine (Edward) Durrill; Charles (Adrienne) Geary; Jason (Nina) Geary; Jessica (Jon) Asher; one great-granddaughter, Emma Durrill; and one sister, Mary Funkhouser, St. Louis. She was preceded in death by one sister, Eleanor Stevenson; and three brothers, Theodore, Leonard, and Virgil Dillingham. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2009, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Dumas officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
