Frank Anthony Sonny Dickneite, 77, of Wardsville, died Friday, December 5, 2003, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born on March 21, 1926 in Freeburg, the son of Frank and Sophie Welschmeyer Dickneite. He was married on January 27, 1945 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Lillian Genevieve Albertson who survives at the home. Other survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Carol Dickneite, Jefferson City; and James and Janice Dickneite, Holts Summit; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Arnold Wieberg, Wardsville; and Janice and Allan Heckman, Wardsville; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Stephen Dickneite; great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Zimmer; three brothers, Alex, Ted, and Tim Dickneite; and four sisters, Elsie Lehman; Frances Radmacher; and Martha Barton; and Eva Thompson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2003, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville, with the Rev. Gregory C. Meystrik officiating. Entombment with military honors will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Additional visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. Stanislaus Catholic School, 6414 Route W. Jefferson City, MO 65101. Those wishing to email condolences to the family may do so at www.dulletrimble.com Mr. Dickneite was a U.S. veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, later serving in Panama, the Philippines, and Germany, and retiring as a Master Sergeant after a twenty-year military career. He later served twenty-four years as an accountant with the Missouri Division of Employment Security. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville; Roscoe Enloe American Legion Post No. 5; and Roy Sone Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1003.
