Gene Ilo Bennett

Gene Ilo Bennett, 63, of Vienna, died Monday, May 6, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center, Jefferson City. He was born on December 23, 1928 in Farnhamville, Iowa, the son of Floyd Harrison Bennett and Grace Ila Foster Bennett. He was married on May 28, 1955 in Custer, South Dakota to Anna Lynn Ziegler who survives at the home. Other survivors include four sons, Gregory Donald Bennett, Anaheim, California; Gene Douglas Bennett, Everett, Washington; Scott Edward Bennett, Vienna, Missouri; and Christopher Lynn Bennett, Chesapeake, Virginia; two daughters, Dawn Patricia Davis, Litchfield, Arizona; and Lo Ann Kay White, Phoenix, Arizona; 16 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Private Family Services will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. He was a graduate of Farnhamville High School and attended a business college in Des Moines, Iowa. He was employed with Delta Airlines for twenty-two years until his retirement in 1989. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Vienna American Legion and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 4340.
