Genevieve Margaret Smith

She was born January 1, 1919, in Moniteau County, Missouri, the daughter of the late Charles W. and Lizzie Belle (Lindsey) Thompson.
She was united in marriage on August 21, 1935, in California, Missouri, to Charles L. “Jack” Smith who preceded her in death in 1991.
Genevieve received her eighth grade diploma from the Department of Jefferson City Public Schools. In her earlier years, Genevieve worked at Oberman’s Pants Factory and later as a nurse assistant at St. Mary’s Health Center in Jefferson City. She was a member of Concord Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include five sons, Carl D. Smith, Russellville; Gary W. (Nina) Smith, Jefferson City; Larry P. (Maria) Smith, Holts Summit; Steven T. (Karen) Smith, Lohman; Daniel R. (Missy) Smith, Russellville; two daughters, Juanita E. (Larry) Graham, Lohman; Barbara S. (Jerry) Eddy, Lohman; 32 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 28 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Charles L.(Jackie) Smith, Jr.; one daughter, Lola M. James; two daughters-in-law, LeeAnna Smith and Mildred “Ginger” Smith; one grandson, Dennis R. Smith; two granddaughters, Tammy Strope and Angel B. Smith; and three brothers and four sisters, John, Charles, Paul, Mildred, Minnie, Ollie Mae, and Edna.
Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Homes in Russellville. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Sunday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Homes with Rev. Michael Hearst officiating.
Burial will be in Centertown Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the California Nutrition Center.

I worked with Jenny years ago at St. Marys. She showed her love for Christ by her loving care to his children. She was a good and faithful servant. My condolences to the family!
