Geraldine Josephine “Gerry” Neeley, 86, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at University Hospital in Columbia, surrounded by her family.
She was born November 9, 1938, in Rich Fountain, Missouri, the daughter of the late Adolph John and Cecilia (Kloeppel) Boehmer.
On June 1, 1957, in Jefferson City, she married James Wellington “James” Neeley who preceded her in death on February 13, 2008.
Geraldine worked for thirty-four years at Capital Machine as a bookkeeper. In previous years she worked for the Missouri Department of Revenue for twelve years and for Capital City Cleaners.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
She enjoyed bowling, watching St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and loved being with her family and her door was always open.
Survivors include five children, James Neeley, Rich Fountain; John Neeley, Jefferson City; Jeanne (Mike) Zumwalt, Lohman; Jerry “Tate” Neeley, Jefferson City; and Jackie (Todd) Bollinger, Jefferson City; four bonus kids, Mike Lootens, Donnie Schiller, Davey Schiller and Keith Schiller; seven grandchildren; Shawn (Sara) Neeley, Stephanie (Andrew) Fritz, Justin (Allie Schnieders) Bollinger, Tyler (Kate) Zumwalt, Samantha Hawker, Taylor (Kate) Zumwalt, Madelynne Neeley; twelve great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Lillian Boehmer, Jefferson City; and Bernadette Lootens, Jefferson City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; a daughter, Sheila Neeley; and siblings, Frank Boehmer, John Boehmer, George Boehmer, Alex Boehmer, Wilford Boehmer, Catherine Boillot, and an infant sister.
Visitation will be 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Jefferson City with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2025, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki, Diocesan Administrator officiating.
Burial will be in Resurrection Catholic Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

I really enjoyed talking with Gerry while being her mailman, soar high dear.
Gerry was such a good friend. I bowled with her for years and have many memorable trips. Rest in peace, dear friend. ❤
