Gloria Earlene Lindsey Biesemeyer, 76, of Jefferson City, went home to be with Jesus Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born on Dec. 7, 1931, in Boonville, the daughter of Earl Christian and Zadah Wanda Nelson Lindsey. She was united in marriage on Aug. 7, 1951, in Rogers, Ark. to Roger William Biesemeyer. He preceded her in death on August 21, 1985. Ms. Biesemeyer worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in her early years but returned home as a homemaker once she started her family, the center of her life. Once all her children were in school, she went to work in the cafeteria at West School and in later years, she worked at Sears, retiring in 1994. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church, Pulmonary Hypertension Association and was a supporter of St. Jude Childrens Hospital, and Columbia Second Chance. Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mark Biesemeyer, Centertown; Eric Biesemeyer & Leslie Dickson, Jefferson City; four daughters and their husbands, Kristie & Bob Frank, Holts Summit; Kathie & Bob Redel, Jefferson City; Kimberlie & Dwight Foster, Columbia; and Kami Biesemeyer, Jefferson City; twelve grandchildren, Joseph Frank, Sr., Kaitlin Frank, Aaron Jolly, David Jolly, Derek Redel, Ryan Redel, Cody Rimel, Dane Biesemeyer, Lindsey Biesemeyer, Cole Biesemeyer, Benjamin Cox, and Sarah Cox; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Gretchen Eloise Brickner, St. Louis and her beloved dog, Molly. She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant son, Adam Biesemeyer. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2008, at Concord Baptist Church with Dr. Monte Shinkle, officiating. Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Jefferson City.
