Grace Mary Vignola, 78, Jefferson City, died Thursday, October 18, 2007 at her residence. She was born on Sept. 30, 1929, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Jacob Bernard and Magdalene Markway Kolb. She was married on July 3, 1954, in Jefferson City to Carmine Anthony Vignola who survives at the home. A 1947 graduate of St. Peter High School, Mrs. Vignola was employed as a claims auditor with the Missouri Farm Bureau, and later as vice-president and secretary of Carmine A. Vignola Associates for many years. A devoted servant of many Roman Catholic causes, she was a founding member of the Cathedral of Saint Joseph; member of Ladies Sodality; Womens Association; Our Lady of Guadalupe Circle; Daughters of Isabella; and served as coordinator of the Perpetual Adoration. She was especially devoted to the Carmelite Monastery. Mrs. Vignola was organist and choir director at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for twenty-five years; was a lifetime member of St. Marys Health Center Auxiliary; helped establish the Peru Missions Foundation; and was a volunteer at St. Joseph Catholic School. She served as a leader with the Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, and was active with the Meals-on-Wheels program and Hawthorn Garden Club. Other survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, James C. and Terry Vignola, Jefferson City; one daughter and son-in-law, Maria G. and James Castline, Fulton, MO; six grandchildren, John Vignola, Michael Castline, Catherine Vignola, Christina Vignola, James Vignola, and Joseph Vignola; three brothers and five sisters-in-law, Paul and Carmen Kolb, Jefferson City; Herbert and Mary Anna Kolb, Cincinnati, OH; Robert and Ann Kolb, Jefferson City; Margaret Kolb, Jefferson City; and Mary Ann Kolb, Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, James Kolb; Cletus Kolb; and Charles Kolb; and one sister, Irma Mae Schleer. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph with the Most Reverend John R. Gaydos and the Reverend Monsignor Robert A. Kurwicki officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Sunday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Cathedral of Saint Joseph, 2301 W.
