Harold Herman "Butch" Veit, 71, of Folk, Missouri, died Friday, June 10, 2016, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was born on January 6, 1945, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Clem Aloysius and Matilda Anna Grafe Veit. Mr. Veit farmed all of his adult life in the Folk area with his family. A member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Folk, he especially enjoyed gardening and fishing. Survivors include his siblings, Evelyn (Lawrence) Struemph, St. Elizabeth; Rose Kempker, Folk; Delphine Wolken, Taos; Dorothy Veit, Westphalia; and Charles (Diane) Veit, Folk; one brother-in-law, John Berhorst, Linn; one sister-in-law, Ruth Veit, Folk; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Clem Veit, Jr.; one sister, Georgia Berhorst; and two brothers-in-law, Virgil Kemper and David Wolken. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Folk, with the Rev. Anthony J. Viviano officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony of Padua Cemetery, Folk. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 14th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Westphalia, with a prayer service at 3 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, POB 157, Westphalia, MO 65085.
