Harold John Meyer, 66, of Koeltztown, died Thursday, October 2, 2008, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born September 9, 1942, in Koeltztown, the son of Fred and Leona Lock Meyer. He was united in marriage on September 23, 1966, in Westphalia, to Ann Clara Otto. She preceded him in death on February 8, 1982. Harold worked for ABB as a welder for 35 years until his retirement in 2007. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and Fraternal Order of Eagles. Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Karen Meyer; Mark and LeAnn Meyer, all of Koeltztown; Aaron and Gina Meyer, Westphalia; six grandchildren, Nathan; Brittany; Cody; Rachel; Kyle; Clara; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Harold Falter; Doris and Leon Lehmen, all of Freeburg; one brother, Gene (E.J.) Meyer, Vienna; and one brother-in-law, Roman Falter, Freeburg. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and one sister, Rita Falter. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2008, at St. Boniface Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Marion J. Makarewicz officiating. Burial will be in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at St. Boniface Catholic Church with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be held 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church.
