Harold Luther Holder, 74, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born on Dec. 18, 1930 in Ravenden, Arkansas, the son of Calvin and Clara Belle Pruitt Holder. He was married in February of 1950 in St. Louis, MO to Christine Marie Evola who died on Feb. 18, 2004. A 1947 graduate of Clay High School, St. Louis, Mr. Holder retired in 1993 as Quality Control Supervisor with Florsheim Shoe Company where he had been employed for forty-two years. He was currently a part-time writer for the Jefferson City Telegraph. He was a member of Learning In Retirement and the Writers Society. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Jan Holder, St. Louis, MO; and Don and Hope Holder, St. Charles, MO; four grandchildren, Elyse Holder, Samuel Holder, Abigail Holder, and Sarah Holder; and a special friend, Mary E. Moore, Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Holder. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2005, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Dumas officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 20th, in Jonesboro Memorial Park, Jonesboro, Arkansas. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Saturday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
