Helen Mae McCluskey, 93, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born on Sept. 29, 1913, in Jefferson City, the daughter of John and Gertie Lampson Affolter. She was married to Edgar Allen McCluskey who died on March 22, 1972. She was a 1929 graduate of Jefferson City High School and a 1934 graduate of DePaul University School of Nursing. She was employed as a Registered Nurse with St. Marys Hospital, Algoa Correctional Center and Dr. Julian Ossman. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church; Ladies Sodality; and past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary. Survivors include one sister, Dorothy Harris, Riva, MD; and two nieces, Betsy Dolard, Riva, MD; and Micki Cruz, Mexico City, Mexico. She was preceded in death by one brother, Dr. Harold Renn. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, in the chapel at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank A. Bussman officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 9-10 Monday in the chapel of St. Peter Catholic Church.
