To the entire Redel family: Please accept our deepest heartfelt sympathy for Pete’s passing. May he rest in God’s loving arms forever. America truly thanks him for his very brave service during World War II while serving in the U.S. Army. He always was proud of his military service at a young age of 19 and that he was a Buck Sergeant. May the good Lord continue to richly bless our great nation with brave young men like Pete Redel that proudly served our country. May the good Lord be with his family and many friends as they will think of him often. God Bless Us All. “Semper Fidelis”

Our most heartfelt condolences to the entire Redel family. We are sorry for your loss. Pete was such a great person and both he and his wonderful stories will live on in our memories forever. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time.
My mom and dad\’s names were Jerry and Ellen Walther. I am so sorry in your trying time. I remember so many times at your house when we were young and at Loethens, Schellmans, Markways, Volmerts and Memorial park for barbecues and Delong functions. Find peace in this time and as you know you never forget! I will tell my sister Karen (Susie) about your dad they live in Florida!

Dear Dianne and Dennis:
My deepest sympathy to both of you (and your families) on the loss of
your Dad Pete. Over the past months he
and I enjoyed a couple of long chats (when I ran into him at Heisinger Bluffs
while he was doing his indoor walks). And
Pete was as cordial and articulate as ever.
He always impressed me as a hard worker who wanted to meet the needs of
his family. Over the years Pete and your
Mom Pat shared a great friendship with my parents Fred and Esther. It was spurred on by their wonderful
Westphalia origins and outlooks on life.
The four of them had great fun playing cards at each other’s houses
until the wee hours of the morning. When
we children visited your home, I especially enjoyed playing 45 records with
Dianne and admiring your aluminum Christmas tree with its color wheel! I’m glad we have enjoyed a continued family connection
through Dianne’s marriage to my cousin Paul Krone. In any case, you are in my thoughts and
prayers during this sad time. Sincerely,
Elaine

My sincerest condolences to all the Redel family – Dianne, Dennis, Daryl, and your families.
We lived next door to Pete and his family for many, many years. Good people, wonderful family, friends for life!! So many fun memories for so many years.
All us kids (me and Dianne, my younger brother, Paul, played with Dale & Daryl who were also my sister, Colette\’s age) grew up together. Dianne\’s Mom, Pat, and my Mom, Helen, were even our Girl Scout leaders at one point.
Pete was always the kindest neighbor, loving husband, and a good Dad to his kids!
I always liked seeing Pete in the later years at St Joe\’s Mass when I would attend with my family when I came to JC. He always give me the latest update on his family and I would give him mine to share. He will be missed by so many.
